About Demitasse

Demitasse is Alastair Cooke, the company was  formed in July 2006 as I returned to self employed contracting, it is a one man company where I am the owner and the product.

Demitasse is based in the Bay of Plenty in New Zealand however most of my work life involves travel away to where there are more people, usually in New Zealand or Australia.

Services Provided:

  • Delivery of VMware authorised training courses through VMware or Authorised Training Centres
  • Delivery of Consultancy services around VMware products

Right now my main customers are VMware and HP with a little work for smaller organisations close to where I live.

I hold most of VMware’s technical certifications from VCP to VCAP and VCI, the only one I don’t have is VCDX.

In the last couple of years I have become involved in the community around VMware’s products and organise ways for the community to meet, either through the APAC Virtualisation podcast or local meetups like vBeers.  In recognition of this I was honored by VMware with vExpert status for 2011, which has resulted in even more effort on helping the virtualisation community in my region to get together.
